School Entry Theme Workshop

Founded in 2023 by experienced lawyers and social workers, Second Hand First Love Limited is a government-approved non-profit organization. Its primary clients include disabled children and adolescents, sick children, and their families. The organization aims to help them grow healthily through its professional skills and resources, and to promote a message of care and inclusion in society, thereby fostering a spirit of self-help and mutual support. For over a decade, the board members have reached out to and assisted young people, people with disabilities, and their children from various sectors, helping them rediscover their potential and unlock their full potential, rebuilding family joy and hope. In recent years, their work handling critically ill patients and witnessing the pain of life and death has instilled in the board members a deep belief that life should be lived with energy and passion, leaving no regrets. In recent months, we have observed a number of suicides in society, many of which involve students, which is truly heartbreaking. It is clear that the problem of emotional distress among teenagers is not a recent development. Therefore, our latest goal is to actively visit schools, promote the spirit of genuine cyclical love, advocate for the continuation of love, and help children, teenagers, and their families bravely face any difficulties and regain hope. As long as there is hope and opportunity, difficulties will eventually pass! Based on our past experience in school lectures and performances, to enhance interaction and engagement with students, we will not only have speakers sharing their insights but also utilize diverse formats such as music, games, contemplation, and interactive Q&A to delve deeper into the theme.

Event content and features

1) Speaker Life Sharing: How visually impaired parents raise good teachers who influence others’ lives (parent-child sharing) / Disabled father and son playing music together (parent-child sharing) / Introverted visually impaired boy transforms into an artist / Happy mother shares how to face difficulties with her dyslexic daughter / Optimistic girl bravely fights against her disability, etc. Different speakers will be arranged to bring up different themes, touching the audience through their own positive values.

2) Shuffle, an inclusive band: Shuffle is composed of the children of visually impaired and disabled people. They spread messages of love, equality, and courage through music, inspiring others.

3) Interactive and inclusive knowledge games: Through games, tips on caring for different people in society are introduced.

4) The theme of the event will be tailored to the number of attendees, their age, needs, and experiences. The purpose of all events is to help the audience understand the meaning behind the theme and apply it to their personal lives and different situations.

Schools can choose from the following themes, or discuss other themes with us.

1) Responding to and distinguishing between bullying and discrimination

2) Self-awareness and acceptance when facing emotional distress

3) Relationship breakdown and reconciliation (family, classmates, teacher-student, etc.)

4) Relieving parent-child conflict stress and how to build a close relationship.

5) Find joy and motivation in life.

6) Explore personal direction and dreams

Noticing the current challenges faced by teachers, we have specially organized a themed event to enter the school, hoping to showcase a different atmosphere and strength. The school can collaborate with us in various ways, and we look forward to working closely with your school to create a spirit of inclusion and mutual love.
